Thank you for joining me and Katharina today, hope you all had a lovely afternoon out.

All met at ADNOC Airport to make their way to Abu Sallaf from where we hit the sands towards Al Khatim. Unfortunately there was one no-show

It was a great start, the first crest has seen a Popcorn tire of Rolf and a flat one of Mike. OK, no worries, we were clear within minutes an off we went.
As given in the briefing we tried all kinds of territory today, from Sabkha and small dunes to moderate bigger dunes applying different sorts of driving. We did a bit of easy, a bit of cresting, a bit of side-sloping and a bit of straight and side-cresting. All this in partly easy, partly fast and partly technical. So I guess we covered most of it today.

Thank you all for the lovely company today, we enjoyed it very much.

Pleased to see our advanced friends led by Adiga and Mood and our Newbie group led by Banna and Yehia at the BBQ spot.

It was a pleasure seeing you again old folks, Been a while Urs and G-man, We really had fun.

It has been a long time indeed. Just what the doctor ordered after a very long siesta. Thanks Mike, I needed that. Missed you guys loads too .

Well the F1 race has been won and I finally find myself with some time to send a belated huge thanks to Mike and Katharina for a fantastic trip on Friday. The mix of terrain was an especially good introduction for my wife's family visiting from the UK - they all had a ball (I very much enjoyed it too of course)! I'd like to especially thank Katharina and Miro again for taking two of my guests as co-pilots - it made a big difference to their experiences and allowed them to escape the torture of the JK's rear seat 8O . Thanks also to the mystery guest for helpful advice over the radio during a couple of tricky bits.

We took loads of photos, which I'll post as soon as I find some more time, but for now it's back to entertaining the visitors...
