The trip was very easy with a few small challenges but I dont want people to get stuck the first time in the sand and I think all did very well. After a few breaks and a playarea for the more experienced we found the BBQ-spot where we sat down for a family reunion. We also got the pleasure to have Said plus Moods group joining us as well as "Janem brothers" with friends.
Thanks to Rolf for the 2nd lead and Braveheart for the sweeping. This is tough job in a group of 19 cars Thanks to Yehia even though you was a passenger today I always enjoy you being around. Thanks also to our Newbies and Intermediates who drove in the convoy and helped out when needed. And of course to Tintin clan as I hoped enjoyed their day in the sand. Hope you got home OK.
Finally thanks to our first-timers who did well today and earned their first star.
I hope you all felt welcomed to the club and I hope to see you soon again out there.
First star will be given to Old_m8, rgammans, Patricio, Idoumou, uaeg, Demera, Woodpecker and Gerald. If there is anyone else I have missed I apologize and look forward to an update.
Thanks Eric for the trip. I also would like to thank Braveheart and Marina
Detlef - when there are a lot of photos, it is so much quicker to upload to facebook than to the club gallery.
I always use the fine setting on my camera - 14megapixel - so the files are HUGE! Facebook automatically reduces them to about 15% of the original file size, if anyone wants the original file for printing, please just email me
I spend a good day on the sand, nice to see a lot of old faces, with the others trip crossing, and a lot of new one also. Nice chat with Patricio and Idomou, i'm sure that we will meet again in the sand.
What a hot but pleasant afternoon in the dunes... actually too short!!!
Thank you Vicking for this trip, there was a lot of cars but a good rythm
It was the perfect occasion to drive the FJ for the first time... really confortable
and also the perfect occasion to meet new members and share time with old friends... so enjoyable
Hope that the 'first-timers' felt the family spirit and would like to join us again
Marina: Thanks for the public link to your facebook album of the trip ... GREAT PICS
All: I just added some photos of the trip to the gallery
Carol: You will find your living room on the crest of a dune Best regards fom Al Bateen
Thanks again to Eric the Viking for the GREAT TRIP
