Breakfast ii Sweihan – Trip Report

10 cars (11) met at the meeting point for an early departure. No pit stop in Sweihan but direct to the deflation point.

Deflating the tires, a short chat and briefing and ready to hit the sand @ 05.45. A cool morning with 26°C promised to be a good day out with great company.

An easy start soon changed into a challenging side sloping and cresting trip with all kinds of sand – from a hard surface to veeeery soft spots.

The trip turned out to become a technical trip. We managed to test all kind of recoveries including how to get a popped tire back on the rim.

The coffee shop opened early and we had a fine breakfast and chat.

With new energy we started the “after breakfast” part. Somme added extra weight and the higher dunes became an insurmountable obstacle. Nevertheless if gave the opportunity for playing and trying the car’s performance and the driver’s skill.

With some delay we left the sand towards Sweihan, inflation and back to Abu Dhabi.

A GREAT trip Urs, a challenging Intermediate plus route in places and as you say some technical stucks, thank God for winches!! Enjoyed all the company, see you other early birds tomorrow. 8)

Urs - A great trip I must say. This was my first intermediate trip and I must say it was a fun. Some areas was extreme soft sand and in some cases I took o the role as the guy who got stuck. Overall an extreme nice and challenging trip that I enjoyed. Sorry for trying to get out as my party was starting 2 PM but my good friends was waiting for me so everything was OK.

thanks URS was an amazing trip, and i learned many things with the soft sands.

and my jeeb in the work shop since that day, till now i changed the water pumb and the gear mountin, engin oil, gear oil and filters need to be changed
