Trip ## 10

Total 22 registered and the turnout was 15. Though it was a newbie drive, majority joined was intermediates. So we decided to split some 4 experienced intermediate with explorer Asif and remaining two newbies and three intermediates with me. Asif will write his convoy report separately. Newbie convoy was as follows

Shajumon lead
Marshal Irfan. Second lead
Dileep intermediate
Alex newbie
Rahul intermediate
Patrick newbie
Varrier intermediate
Afsal advance sweeper.
Reji expert. Floating support.

The time mentioned was 6.30 but some drivers reached a bit late and did the briefing by 6.45. convoy moved by 6.55.
We started off with some open area just to warm up Learn about convoy. We had Alex with his second newbie drive. So we kept the pace for his convenience. Everyone one was doing well including Alex so we moved to better dunes and increased drive a bit high. Then we covered some technical area and done obstacles like straight crest, crossing big bowls etc. everyone did very well with very few second tries three stucks. We finished exactly by 9.45 at Khazna road for inflation without any incidents.

Thank you Marshal Ossama for your timely support to open the trip though you couldn’t attend trip because of your Jeep’s mechanical issue. I am very thankful to Our beloved newbie specialist marshal Irfan for the timely support and all great advices. Thank you Asif for your timely support where I could increase slot. I am really very thankful to Reji who is my mentor for your whole hearted support. Thank you Afsal for joining my trip and all support.
I am extremely happy and thankful to all drivers and passengers who supported me by joining my trip which gave me more encouragement to come up with more trips.

It was my ANIT trip as "floating support''. Moreover I learn how to organize / choose the track.
Initially the lead mover straight from the meeting point. That place was like a football ground of offroaders. Open place, clear visibility. After almost half an hour the convoy moved to the left side and increased the level. Then technical and finally high crest . BRILLIANT TRACK ! Everybody, especially newbies ( intermediate onward knows the importance of following the instructions) followed the instructions exactly. That gave great relief / easiness to Lead/ and Support Marshals move forward further.

Trip was enjoyable and good to be back to newbie's.
Learning still on the way and track was good especially towards the end.

It was my season 2022 first trip and hence decided to open up with a newbie drive. I feel post the completion, it was indeed a good choice lead by Shaju, the best cool headed lead whom I had come across. His drive gives us the comfort and is a real stress buster but offcourse with some amount of adrenaline to keep us on toes. I enjoyed the drive and the route selected. Already I have registered for his next trip. Needless to mention that, apart from leading the trip he is a good host, offered all participants a good coffee, thanks for the same and looking forward to the next drive and "Parippuvada (an evening snack)"
Wishing you a safe and enjoyable drives ahead and I am sure that this year with number of trips and dedication what you are putting in you will soon become one of the club Marshall!
