Meeting all early in the morning was fantastic and was really nice to meet Shadi’s group in the meeting point. After a nice chat and the first group has left we decided to go to the deflation point.

All participants were experienced intermediates so I decided to run the trip differently from what was planned.

Our aim was to learn some hints and tips about navigation and to be trained on some of the activities on the small and medium dunes that will be practiced and comprehensively learned in higher level. Each member got a chance to lead and navigate for a range of 2 to 3 km while I was the second lead, meanwhile all had a nice and technical drive with some training and demonstration for side slopes and side crests

Dear Waleed and all:

thank you for a great trip with wonderful weather. leading was much more complicated than i imagined. this greatly increased my respect for our seasoned marshalls who do such a great job of selecting wonderful tracks. like many things, you all make it look much easier than it is.

Thanks especially to Waleed, who did another trip in the afternoon while i was on my couch.Great company, great day. Was nice to see the Newbie/Shadi group at our start.

for making lead and sweep and practicing on some side creasting appreciated for that hope to see you soon on the sand
