What an amazing extremely technical and scenic trip it was, and my brother-in-law had an absolute blast, couldn't stop talking about it on the way back, I could not even put music cause he kept talking! We had everthing but snow this week-end! A bedouin joined us at the deflation point and wanted to go on our trip with his Land Cruiser pick-up truck, no deflation required, no problem for that guy, off he goes ahead of us. Not even one dune later Ghass got stuck on flat, guess the sand is softer than expected. The bedouin waits for us from a top of a dunes and secretly deflates his tires thinkin we can not see him  Awesome ride with a bit of rain for a few Km's, camel caravan, then our friend goes his own way. We continue in a cloudy and fresh day until we reach a perfect camping spot with a view as teh sky clears. Awesome BBQ, fire and company. First time in my life nobody has shisha around campfire, and as my brother-in-law recently quit smoking I kept mine in my box. Prrfect clear sky, great sleep, everybody slept late, at 0700 Zayed had his alarm clock in his Patrol set to wake up the rest of the camps, love that horn man. Great breakfast with a view, JUergen and Ghass leave us to go back to Abu DHabi, and the rest of us set-off for the Saudi border. Found a nice spot with a view on it to have a nice lunch. At some point on the way I did a side slope following Agnes, very small one not even a play area, had the perfect speed, but surprise, got caught in a sand drift ( mini avalanche) which stopped me dead and started pulling me down side ways, almost rolled over, at some point the two right wheels we not touching anymore and my angle was past the tip over point. Luckily the mini avalanche which was pulling me down also kept me just enough momentum to be able to floor it and put the four wheel back on the sand and go down and away from a roll over. Watching it back on the Go Pro the whole thing lasted may be 5 seconds, but I'll tell you what time-space definitely slowed down for me and my passenger and felt way longer, first time in 6 years in the sands I felt this scared but no time to think about it. What a rush of adrenaline, I was shaking for 5 minutes after. We then head for Moreeb, and at some point had to take the catch roads to avoid the oli fields. Had to deal with a pop-out from Agnes between two catch roads. We reach Moreeb where we met a group of guys and girls who are getting ready to go camp in Liwa with zero exprience in off-roading for most of them, but at least they were not going far. One of the girls had bunch of questions about how to use high and low gears in her jeep. Gave her a ride up the dunes to explain a few things to her, wow she did not know much, and she is trilled to join our club now she and her other friends. Last plan is to reach the top of the Moreeb dune to watch the crazies to their show. Just as we reach the top of Moreeb and get settled for the sunset my jeep gives me a hot engine alarm and tons fo smoke from under the hood. Killed the engine right away, Charif rushed with his extinguisher and when we open the hood it is just vapor from engine coolant, a hose cracked, so no big deal. We let the engine cool down while watching the dune bogeys and bikes do their thing from the top of Moreeb and watch the sunset. Then we cut the part of the hose that broke, reconnect the hose, refilled the radiator with water and voila problem fixed, thank you Mood and Zayed. We go down the face of Moreeb dune then head out of there while Sherif Mood and Zayed try to climb the Moreeb dune and show those 1000 Hp bogeys how it's done. Of course now it is cold tire pressure is down, I had a pop-out on my way out of the parking, WTF?? Put the tire back on the rim while driving and just had to reinflate it without jack. NIce drive back to civilasation in time to drive my brother-in-law back to the airport for his flight back to Canada.

Thank you Mood for one of the best Liwa trips and campings I have been part of, my brother-in-law says thank you and this was the best experience and memories he will have of his 3 trips to UAE so far.
