MEETING THE REQUESTS TRIP 15/6/2012 -REPORT
As usual, the trip was announced to meet the request of some members, ending up with 20 cars meeting at alkhatim station . After meeting some last minute requests and accepting also some last minute apologies, we started to the deflation point. After short briefing we divided the trip in two groups , with Smily, Gladiator and me in one group and Wasabi, Mamoun and Carol in the other one, and Chief Khaiwi free between the two groups. The drive was easy and relaxing under the sun with over 48 degress, with some small technical stuck from members and from marshals (demos only) and a small technical problem with Elvorfin LR (Thanks for chief Khaiwi who assisted him out of the sand) we ended about sunset near the road where some members went back home and others joined us with the BBQ guys in our usual spot, where the guys wished me HBD and smily offered nice cakes (Thank you very much)
Thank you for the marshals Smily,Carol,Wasabi,Gladiator,Mamoun, and chief khaiwi, for helping in this nice day.
Thank you to all the mebers who made it and see you soon.

Thank you Yehia,

sorry for not having been able to join the BBQ
HBD although late
thanks to Smiley, Gladiator and all other friends,

PS I learned a new lesson: with Pentastar I can get stuck in a flat area if I give too much power starting up ... (thanks for help)

Thanks for organizing another great trip, i learned a lot today the hard way, but hey it's all learning.
A special thanks again to chief Khaiwi for getting me back to the tarmac, and also sorting out a recovery back to AD. Luckily that was just to be on the safe side, and all seems OK with Ellie.
Cheers gang.

Thanks Wasabi, Mamoun and Carol. We were very lucky to have clouds over us for most of the time and so could enjoy the drive, stucks and 'demos'. Wasabi, hope your front was not affected by the little bump that you got into.

Thank you Yehia for organizing the trip (and unstucking me), Marco for being the second lead and the good conversation at the stops, Smiley and Gladiator for the recovery lessons and how to select a patch to avoid bowls (by the way, very proud to have gone through this one though).
Thank you also to Chef Khaiwi for demonstrating us that a stock car can go absolutely anywhere with an excellent driver (today with the heat I thought that the only mod required in a Wrangler is to install a fridge!!).
Very glad to have met Wasabi and Dominique although we didn't have a long time to talk. A bientôt messieurs.
Mamoun: always good to see you although we were not in the same convoy. I hope you don't regret to have chosen the Jeep side of the force.
Scotchyl: good to have seen you again.
Yehia: although you think it was an easy trip, I found it sometimes challenging (although within the limits of still being comfortable enough). So it was great fun and learning. Sorry to have not stayed but we left Dubai at 4:15 am to go for Desert Hawk's trip in the morning, and we were planning to go to Waleed's trip on Saturday (meeting point at 6:30am) so we decided to take it safe on the sleep side.
By the way, happy birthday (sorry for the delay).
Hope to see you all soon!
Best regards,
Voy & KikiTour
