One registered trip member could not make it on last minute. Thanks for the message. Sadly Bu Nassir stood out as a “Now Show”
We left the meeting point just to stop in a shady place a few kilometres further for the Newbie Instruction. After introducing the new members to Abu Dhabi 4x4 and disclosing the off road basics (thank you Adiga for translating ) it was time for action.
The first “tricky” action revealed to be “deflating the tires”. We spent some time with the game called “deflate me – inflate me” and after everybody understood the rule we were ready for the sand
With our Field Marshal and Safety Manager Adiga being everywhere I was assured that the trip will be SAFE. Thank you my friend for the hard work
With a stuck or a second attempt here and there everybody mastered the terrain the best way they could and we had fun.
Just before sunset we arrived at the “bbq place” and started the “party”. The “new Newbies” could search their own star from a clear starry sky but received the first AD4x4 star from Adiga.
The drive back to civilisation started easy but after the eyes adapted to the darkness of the night the fun started again. We finally arrived back to civilisation through gate 15 and reached the petrol station sound and safe.
It was fun having you out in the desert, some for the first time and I enjoyed the trip and the bbq chat. A special thank to my friend Adiga for the “tirelessly watching the flock”
See you soon
Cheers

Re: ANIT Report
It was my first trip on the sand and was very interesting. In fact, I had too many anxieties / questions in my mind before reaching the breefing point. When Uristier strated rolling out a big mat under the shaded roof, I thought he was preparing for a mass prayer! Later came to realise that it was meant for showcasing his proud stuffs to us.
The explanation for first time drivers by Uristier was fantastic and was very crisp. Of course, the 'short commercials' by Adiga were veryful tips.
At the deflating point,it was something new for me. Marshals also helped to determine whether my low profile tyre needs what level of deflation. (Later at the BBQ spot, Adiga demonstrated to me the difference between a 'stiff' low profile tyre and a 'soft' normal tyre. Low profile is not meant for sand!)
And then started the real play. The Touareg combined with the novice driver and the low profile tyre gave so many stucks. But enjoyed each and every bit of it.
The new mates were very friendly and always extended their help.
The cofee session at the last point is a memorable one. My wife and daughters are yet to get familiar with the strong cofee without sugar.
The selection of the BBQ spot was nice. The table lamps and the occasional insects around them gave a good picnic mood.
Altogether, me and my family enjoyed the ANIT.
A big thanks to all.

Re: ANIT Report
This was also my first trip into the desert.
Many thanks to Urs and Adiga for introducing the desert experience and sharing your knowledge. The trip far exceeded my expectations. I did not think we could have so much fun, so early in my desert driving experience. My family also enjoyed the experience. We will be talking about our 'stucks" for a while.
I also plan on spreading the word with friends and coworkers about how much fun they are missing here in the UAE. Everyone was friendly and I hope to see you all on future trips.
