okok  just to tease some friends (usually I prefer the technical section for my longer posts) :

The trip started actually thursday afternoon where the toughest desert junkies met at around 4pm at ADNOC tarif junction.
the usual stuff ... fueling ... ice ... coffee ... cigarette ... hugs and kisses ... excitement

we arrived at hamim gas station before sun set ... and used the last sun rays to sneak into the desert ... YES SNEAK ... because 45km around qasr al sarab is going to be fenced as wild life reservation. And to be honest, flora and fauna deserve to be preserved... we saw a mummy gazelle with two babies on our way to a hidden camping spot. :?

at the camping spot ... we just dropped our stuff on the sand and started our food, drink and music festivity (no ... it was NOT an orgy!)
late ... very late ... some eyes dropped close on the spot (no tents needed, suuuuper weather)... some others stayed much longer awake to the annoyance of the more exhausted participants ... well excitement, because the same night owls who entertained with their palaver and plastic bag/snacks noise were the first ones to dig in the plastic bags and ice boxes at 7am next morning AGAIN.
(no ... it was NOT the sun waking us up and NOT THE FLIES!)
after a super quick short cut morning toilet (just a third water bottle ... yuck) we started packing ... just to wait a loooong time until some other members finally arrived at qasr al sarab. (well ... we had a nice coffee and the chance for a more civilized morning toilet)

believe it or not : we did not hit the sand before 11am because some members remembered that they needed to fix/check/screw at and with their cars because they could not complete their jobs properly BEFORE the trip

after few km's of sneaking out to the desert again, too many of our friends had to screw with their cars again

Hani leading, me as passenger (at least and very thankful) the quest for challenges and adrenaline started.

couple of hours later : biiig smile on all faces ... red faces ... no incidents ... awsome landscape ... soft powder sand ... very few stucks! (the one broken ignition cable did not really count)

just to try out a new perspective I decided to try out Seamutts new cool safety belts on his even cooler passenger racing seat.
walla ... just the seats ...
Hani ... completely relieved that he finally got rid of a anxious passenger ... decided to completely "unleash"
YEEEEHAAAHH
some more hours later :
after one of the necessary "coffe brakes" we finally met Jo's group at a nice play area where of course the "bad boys" started their attempts of cheating on physics ... they managed to bend some rules again  .
more adrenaline and hours later:
me ... full of sand from a completely new Jeep driving experience (yes ... seamut kept all 4 tires on the ground, at least I was not aware of a situation where at least one tire was not on the ground )
(Jeep makes dune buggies ... really!)
the others ... the smile was even wider ... from ear to ear ... the bowls were even deeper ... the traction less ... the slopes gigantic ... and the "brakes" longer (waiting for some traction problems to get solved  )

the guys with their newly regeared Jeeps started to get used and love their Jeeps ... and suddenly : 5pm ... shitttt

we rushed out of the desert and headed to the gas station to refill the cars with fuel and the toilet/bathroom with a first load of sand and something else ... every one was tired and happy and tired and happy and we all were envying Jo's group who stayed at Qasr al Sarab that night.

Conclusion :
good ... this was LIWWAAAAA (not everything stayed there ... I got some sand back home  )
bad ... most likely last time this season
