Fully comp insurance with offroad cover for 2008-09 4x4?

Good morning, does anyone currently have a 4x4 from model year 2008/2009 with fully comp insurance that covers offroad use? Approx. Car value 30-40k. I know the rule is 5 years old for fully comp but I've heard of some exceptions - any suggestions for company or broker that can quote for the same are welcome too..

Hi Ray,

I own a 2009 Prado and have a fully comprehensive insurance including off-road (not off the road

) so it covers me in the desert. I am paying AED1,950 premium with Zurich Elite plan. I do have a discount as my employer has an agreement with Zurich Insurance so it may cost you slightly more.

Speak with MLC (I can send you his detail) and he can search for you. I heard AIG may do it.

Thank you both just research for now, don't want to get another car to find its in limbo between newer and fully covered or much older/cheaper and don't care if it's only 3rd party

I have 2008 fj and the only insurance company agreed to giv me off road was al wathba i can giv you the contact details. I had same value axa, zurich all those famous insurance need no claim letter which u willl nt be able to provide if you are buying an old car and they wont accept off road.
Currently i have the worst insurance because from the guy i purchased kept the worst terms in the insurance bt due to urgency i has to accept it.

Anyways before buying a car make sure u check the insurance

Mine is a 2008 JKR insured full comp UAE & Oman..

call Sameeh from National Resources he will get you best deal..

I think admins should make a sticky post for insurance specially for direct contact because when u really need it you dont get it.
