TJM XGS Series 4000

Post by Stalliondz »

Dear All,

I'm wondering if any one have tried the TJM XGS Series 4000 (not the XGS Gold as they are totally different) as I'm looking in different options for lifting about 2.5" on my Prado 150 2012 LWB :)

I know that there are different Suspensions in the market such as OLD MAN Emu, Fox 2.0..., King and Obviously Radflo, but I'm currently considering the OLD MAN Emu or the TJM XGS S4000 As they are not really expensive and will do for what I need at the moment :)

I have read alot of reviews on the TJM XGS s4000 and hardly found any negative reviews on them, where as the OLD MAN emu seems to be very harsh ND hard for daily On-road use (as per alot of reviews)

Any advise or comparison on any of the OLD MAN emu VS TJM XGS s4000 will be highly appreciated & welcomed :)

Cheers
Chafik/Stallion

TJM XGS Series 4000

Post by Mr Magoo »

I fitted the XGS series 4000 shocks to my otherwise standard non-lifted shorty Patrol and they are a big improvement over the original Nissan fitment gear.
I only wanted a shock upgrade and my experience was visited both ARB and TGM mussafah on a saturday morning - ARB shop wasn't bothered for the OME sale and fitment but TGM really went out of their way to find a shop to fit them straight away. Top marks TGM and been happy ever since.

Thank you Zayed for your feedback.
May I know the following please:
1- Is your TJM suspension the XGS S4000 (Shocks & coils) OR the XGS Gold?
2-How much lift did you get ?

Thanks

Thank you Magoo for your feedback.
I had the same experience as I went to ARB for the OLDMAN emu, and the guy did really bother provide info nor was serious to sell ... so I just left and went to TJM were the guys there were very welcoming and providing details and information, So I started researching about how reliable the TJM Suspension and I'm reading some very good reviews about it, as for the Off-road I'm satisfied about what it's promising , the only concern holding me till now is how hard it is Onroad and confortability of the Coils OnRoad.

TJM XGS Series 4000

So...
I've had the TJM XGS S4000 shocks installed yesterday :) (lifting coils will be done at a later stage in couple of months) and the ride already feels amazing. Big difference then the stock shocks.

I'll try them on sand this weekend to see how they preform in the sand.
