I understand why his car is in the workshop, but why yours is ? you don't need a workshop to fix a patrol !!!

Very nice finish, especially the winch, where did you get it from ;)

watch out for the LED lights, any hit or a ditch and you might loose them

So, when are you planning to drive it on the sand?

Thanks man! :)

I'm now 100% positive that I'm going to join a trip next weekend. (insllah)

Unfortunately however, I won't be able to stay for the party...

The LED lights are protected by those tubes on the sides and are using a very strong bolts. :) I will only do some extra protection for them to protect them from getting scratched. :)

I will be doing a small desert test some time mid week this week.

Even Patrols from time to time need some service or make-up
I installed the winch from MotorTech and actually I need a heavy duty switch and cabling for my winch, that Phil promised to source and install. Plus I need spacers for the new but used re-geared rear axle, that I will install after my rear diff started to produce strange noises.

Osama, sorry for hi-jacking your post.

Hey Bro,

when you do the AEV Tummy Tuck:
Did you accommodate for the transfer case shifter linkage being attached between transfercase and body/tub in stock form?
something like the Novak cable TC shifter conversion or the Advance Adapters TC shifter bracket (to seperate the linkage from the tub) is recommended. I would ask AEV what they recommend without Body Lift.
I think they will say Novak cable shifter ... not much space will be left down there ... same as with the Savvy under armor kit. ;)

I haven't ready anything about that yet. Thanks for notes ! :)

I read something that requires modification but I think that it was the transmission shifter.

The body was waxed yesterday and now Rust Bucket's True colors are finally showing their glow.

The Exhaust Job was also done. I had to route it through an unusual path. But it is done and functional. I ended up keeping the 3" exhaust. I'm planning to keep it this way until the crackdown day.

Patriot is now installing a fuel regulator and Fuel/ignition management unit. After a couple of dyno runs, we hope to diagnose and fix the problem. We all agree on the solution. But we don't agree about the cause. Some say that the engine is running lean, I say that the engine is actually running rich! this will be cleared after the first dyno runs.

I hope to get some HP / torque numbers as well. I'm expecting something like 175rwhp and 220 rw ft/lb. It might not sound as much. But Remember, I'm running 35" tires and 4.88 gear ratio. This can easy translates in to 35% of power loss. Which means that the engine should be producing 270hp and 330 Ft/lb at the flywheel. :geek:

That is a weird sentence.......

so the car is parked on the hands of some magician in Mussaffah who happens to be black?

Seriously though, looking great man! I hope it is up and running soon......so 30% loss power loss due to tires and gearing? maybe i should stick to 33" as i thought about playing with 35"............
