Emirates Hockey League

Post by Viking »

Just want to make an announcement that last Wednesday an historic event happened in UAE. The first ever national icehockey league started. There are games every wednesday in the Ice rink in Zayed sports city.

This Wednesday the 14th of Oct Ghantoot will meet Abu Dhabi and the game will start at 8 PM.
Please join and watch as icehockey is a fantastic game to watch and much more fun and eventful that football / soccer :-)

I will be there and for you that have never seen an icehockey game I will be happy to explain the rules.

Yes it is quite fun actually. Tomorrows Abu Dhabi team will be local players only. I dont know about Ghantoot. Abu Dhabi Scorpions (the expat team of Abu Dhabi) and Dubai Mighty Camels are mainly Expats. It is not the level of NHL but fun to watch and some of them still knows how to play hockey.
I hope to see you there. I have a practice with the U18 team before so I am already there :-)
How about the rest of you
* Al Magbouls
* Other Marshals and all other members

Everybody is welcome and there is also a cafeteria.

Excellent...will be fun...Hockey Northeast is a very high level and it's only College level...better game than the NHL.

Use to go to minor league games in Washington DC after the Craptials doubled their ticket prices. Became an office ritual with like 40 of us in one big group. Was big fun as it was like Canadian Juniors, huge amount of fan involvement - razzing, and other good fun, the players loved it and would skate by us at the end and thank us with the proper salute! :mrgreen: Probably wouldn't fly here as too many thin skinned people.

What are the ticket prices if any?

It is not about time Said - It is about priorities. If you dont show up you are prioritizing something else.

If you have a heart attack - do you think you will find the time to go to the hospital or will you postpone it :-)
