Hi all, up very early to be first in queue at Adnoc car wash this morning, While the guys were hoovering out the sand, I was approached by a guy called Antonio who had noticed my AD 4x4 Polo shirt, he asked me all about the club saying he had been here for a year and wanted to learn off road driving skills etc. but hadn,t known where to start. Told him all about the club and think he will join us soon. Good advertising strategy by the committee having the shirts and wheelcovers. It works, the message is getting out. Didn,t tell him about the modification bug though, he will have to work that out for himself!!

Great Mal. I think the wheel covers and the T-Shirts are doing good job .... I also noticed when we go on a convoy everybody is looking at us ....

We has some members who joined whne they noticed the sticker on a 4x4 .. But now with the whell covers, we will have more of them joining ...

I think we are doing a great job Mal...

i had the same encounter at work a guy with a prado asked me all about that sticker and when he noticed the GPS he said we are doing some serious offroading ...

Although i gave him the website i never saw him join but still our word is spreading ...

Not hijacking, but small advice:

Washing the car at ADNOC will clean only the visible sand inside/outside.

You have to think about the underneath of the car, where all the moving parts have to be cleaned from the sand.

So, I advice you all to have your car wash at Musaffah, FULL WASH,

All over Musaffah Car wash stations they lift the car and wash it underneath with high pressure water actually much better cleaning than ADNOC IN/OUT side of the car they charge u 25 dhs only also they will change oil /oil filter/ engine wash/ Greasing the movable parts
mainly after u enter Musaffah after the 1st R/A u can see all on the left hand

I use the Adnoc on Electra beside Western Motors, they have a hydraulic lift there that raises your car and the guy uses high power hose to wash all of the sand off underneath and all of the moving parts, this is the only one I have found "on island".
