Noisy tires

Post by Dutchy »

Hi out there,

From last weekend I am the proud owner of a 2004 Jeep Cherokee Ltd. 8)
All seems ok, but I find the tyres very noisy, even low speed you can clearly hear them. Now I have to admid I have been driven very silent sedans last view years, so it might just be the total concept of the vehicle.

Anyway, the tyres mounted are Goodyears Wranglers 235/70
Does anyone have any sugestions here?
Thanks a lot!

These tires are most probably the ones coming on the stock cars means already 4 years lapsed in this hot weather become dry and hard if you are not considering any modifications go for the new tires.
recommended Pirelli ATS, Michelin LTX they are silent on road and the best off road as All terrain tires.

I had the same situation and the problem was exactly what Belbassiouni mentions....Michelin are great on road and track.

Yokohama are also relatively quiet on road and perform very well off road as well.

Seems a bit hard to find them though....
