Trip Report (Convoy 3)

The trip was organized and lead b y Marshal Pharaoh. We all met at the BBQ Meeting Point in Sweihan at 1430. As there was many participants everyone was split into 3 convoys by Marshal Pharaoh. I lead Newbie convoy No. 3 and will cover it in this report.

After we gathered and had the safety briefing and assigning convoy order we headed off into the dunes with the destination being Nagra dune. As we were a smaller convoy we were able to move quite easy without alot of waiting.

We began in the smaller technical dunes making our way to the gatch roads at the powerlines. Found a small bowl to give the newbies some practice getting in and out of one where we all required two tries to get out of. We proceeded on moving in and out of the dunes with ease with now stucks and with minimal 2nd tries.

We crossed the gatch in to the bigger and more open dunes where I was able to pick up the pace and as everyone was driving very well I decided to increase the level for some more learning and fun. I gave everyone just about every fun I could come up with to test and fun them and to help build the confidence they need for the next level. We went up, we went down and did some minor side slopes for them to get the feeling and used to the power and and handling of their vehicle.

We made it to Nagra but as it always is on a Friday was very busy and congested there so I lead the convoy around Nagra to the back side where I gave them a fun of a long climb up Nagra and then come back down again where they. On the 2nd attempt everyone was able to make the climb and come back down slowly and safely. Everyone did wonderful and learned alot during this fun.

As time was winding down we started our track back to powerlines. I increased the level a little more as everyone was driving very good. And everyone was very happy with the drive.

We made out to the inflation point with nothing but smiles.

You all did great and it was a pleasure to lead you all on this fantastic day.

afsal001 you did a great job as 2nd lead following all instructions and showed great control of your car.
Abu al 3bed thank you for being the sweeper as always you are great in assisting were needed.
