Hi Everyone,
I am still trying to sort Frankie's cooling out.
Can anyone lend me a mechanical fan + clutch for a 4.0L? And if you happen to have a fan shroud for an XJ, that would be even better.
I just want to see if a mechanical fan makes a material difference.
Dave

Mechanical fan. It does ring a bell here.
I still have the parts listed in item one in the below link. They are brand new and, in appreciation of your efforts with Frankie and your perseverance with it; you can have them for free.

I hear you!!in appreciation of your efforts with Frankie and your perseverance
Thank you very much! Will be happy to return it after trying it out. I just want to slowly narrow down the problem.
How can I collect it? Are you coming to AUH this weekend for a trip?
I guess these parts will fit, even though Jeep is not mentioned on the SR page?

They FIT on the crank case stud!
The question is the depth to the radiator ... and the fan diameter ... well ... it fits into the space a wrangler TJ provides ... a smart replacement clutch and clutch fan somebody at JF came up with.
If it fits ... it will put some strain on you serpentine belt. It pulls quite some air

Great!!
If you can give me a time and a place on Friday near Abu Dhabi (on your way to Liwa) - I will meet you there.
A scrap yard has found a shroud for me and I will pick that up tonight. All being well, I can give Frankie a test run on Saturday...
