Report Dubai am Newbie trip

Post by Jayne »

Mahmoud, Iain, Ben, Big Mow, Zak, Millhouse, Snappy, Hang, Malte and Sean met up for a fun morning in the sand. Thank you all for your promt timing, we left meeting point early and moved to Al Faqa for briefing. Socttie (Millhouse) thanks for giving the breifing this morning - good job :D
I started the lead, with everyone doing really well Scottie took over the lead for the middle section. It was a challenging job I gave you Scottie, and you steped up the the task well - a convoy of newbies in mostly lwb, soft sand and a very technical area to lead in! You did great, and trust me it gets easier..
Everyone did great out there today, nice safe driving, well done! I lost count on how many stucks we had today 10++ anyone keep count? Nice soft sand meant most of you got a chance to learn more about feeling your car stuck
Sarah thanks for doing a great job at sweeper - you were busy!
Hang and Malte great assistance today thanks and also busy with recoveries, really appreciated your support and helpfulness thank you
Sean - sorry the surf pool was broken, but thanks for joining us! Thanks for supervising all the recoveries, huge support
Learning from today - if you hear stop on the radio - stop Immediately - this is for yours and others safety
Check the labels on your recovery equipment if it says tow rope this is not suitable for recoveries - for the person concerned please change to a snatch strap..
Sooo its getting hot, but it was a great morning with a great group of people, look forward to seeing all of you again soon :D :D

Wow! I never thought it would be so difficult! Really hard to define the pace and the route, but very enjoyable. No sleeping at the front.

Thank for the part-lead, Jayne. Loved it. Everyone did well and with a good number of stucks for learning. Thanks to Jayne, Sean, Malte, Hang and Sarah for your support and tips.

Cheers, Scott
