We all met on time in ADNOC sweihan and moved on time to the deflation point.
After deflation, safety briefing and set up the convoy position we start our drive in mix of different dunes with some medium to high side sloping everyone was going very good and as planned we were driving toward the first BOWL.
After playing in the Bowl 2 out of 5 cars decide to cause us trouble so we decide to have a break and talk about it to take the right decision.
A jeep was having some trouble with the gear box and an X-Terra was losing power so we decide to go end up the trip and make sure everyone is safe.

It was a nice day.
Different but nice.
In Greece we say if the end is then all is good
The car is fine today. Some sand stuck somewhere in the engine which caused the vibration and the noise...
Fixed with a good wash.
The gearbox after cool down worked fine... Probably overheated who knows...
Thank you for the second lead it was a pleasure!
Also I have a couple of things to say.
When all the above described took place both grizzly and scotchyl directly took the decision almost immediately to stop the trip. This happened to ensure safety and minimize any hazard might cause from both broken car and also from broken driver. By broken driver I mean that when you feel that your car is not performing 100% you as a driver don't feel confident 100%.
We had no broken drivers on this trip, as proved later we had no broken cars either but at the right time ( when we had doupt about the cars) both of them ( Hani and Andy) took the RIGHT decision. For our safety.
So I have to thank both of them for that.
It's better safe than sorry all the way.

Thank you Hani for arranging the trip and the selection of the track. it was a good start to get the tempo going and continue picking up the tempo as we drove into the bigger and higher dunes. some very nice side cresting and especially in and out of the bowl. quick demo required from me as jeep clearly wanted to take a break and have a rest and enjoy the view.
excellent control of the cars guys, there were some technical spots there which were cleared with ease. sand was soft in places and hard in others following the rain the night before. everyone concentrated and read the dunes well, a pleasure to sit back and enjoy the drive.
at the point of the decision we were in a good place and happy to offer my thoughts on the matter. sensible decision Hani and shows been taught well.
