This was my first trip back into the desert after 6 weeks away from the sand, and what a wonderful way to return.

Grizzly led us on a great track through the very blustery sands of Khatim to Sweihan, via some nice crests, descents and bowls. The track was pitched at the right level for the convoy - which meant that everyone was able to warm up and enjoy their time. Any tricky areas were handled extremely well, with safety being the priority for all. Great leading, great communication, great track. Well done Hani.

Hamour - you drove really well today and loved your self recovery. Am envious of your lockers! I hope your co-pilot had a great day.

DD - wow. Frankie is a beast and you know exactly how to drive it. After all your hard work Dave, it really is great to see you finally enjoying everything that Frankie has to offer, and really having some fun. I have absolute admiration for all your hard work that you put into Frankie, and now you are reaping all the benefits of all that toil and stress. Wonderful driving and thanks for sweeping.

Abdul Qadir - you did so well today. Super impressed by your driving skills and your second lead.

Scotchyl - always a pleasure to drive with you and thanks for "assisting" me when I decided to try out a new parking spot !!

Braving the inclement weather was not an issue as everyone was so keen to stretch their legs and enjoy the feeling of the sand under their tyres.

Khatim and Sweihan offered many opportunities to practice and have some great fun and the track was perfectly suited to all. sand was super soft in areas on the crests after the wind, but that did not stop anyone as all the conoy cruised, crested and sloped with such ease and control it was a real pleasure.

Thank you all for a great morning in the sand, never bad thing to get up early to drive with you all.
