I am with Hotel idea, we can also make it as quize night with teams, it will be so nice especially if it was sucessfull (quize idea) we can make very offten .

Since people like competion we can announce the night with 10 people for each team (depend on the tables how many people can accomidate) it will be nice and something new for the members since they are in the desert every week, we need to offer something different for people, also they can invite their friends which we add more members to our club

I like the idea of getting out my posh clothes, but I wear my 'posh clothes' everytime we hit the desert

Yeah the ball thing sounds really good, like the idea of meeting the folks when they actually smell clean

Just a heads up, we've been graced this October with 5 weekends , the Desert Classic is over the 4th weekend

great idea on having it in a hotel and getting the glad rags out,

i have only a few questions, thoughts and explanations:

* the date you are looking at is only a few weeks away and not sure if you have started looking or booking, and understand this may only be for getting numbers of who would be interested, but looking at the time frame and what is going on in October with the club, my thoughts are would it not be better to maybe have it in November when the desert fun is over and done with,

* also this would give you more time to look at things like what to do, what to have, and get a team of people to help co- ordinate for you,

* also it will give familys time to organise babysitters if they choose not to bring there children,

* it will also give more time to write to companys for donations to go towards the night if there are going to prizes etc,

* trivia is a great idea, for there can be one for both adults as well as children,

* also another thought with the children that may come , you can maybe look at getting intertainment for them so the parents can hav a good nite,

for this is something that we ourselves would love to come to and also if required would like to offer my time to help you in any way.

and in the time frame you are thinking it is also jc BIG DAY: but will come to this later

so please if you require any help with anything please let me know

I only wear smart clothes to Weddings & Funerals, and as no one is getting hitched or ditched I would opt for the open air and sand between my toes.

It is far about 1.5 hours drive.

If we are going to hotel it should be in town there is no reason for every one to drive outside of Abu Dhabi if we decide to go a hotel.
