But bad start with flat tire turned out to be a great morning. After safety briefing, convoy was set up with febaez (Fernado) as second lead, then caounda (Ossama), dsalas (David), futureshock999 (Robert), Rumblebee (Mike), Mr George (Stephane), freedomlucas (Lucas),Hisham and last petro (Kevin) as sweeper. We warmed up with some easy terrain and on the way to Nagra found a few bigger dunes where we practiced side sloping in a safe way. At Nagra we made a short break before continuing towards the Old Lady dune. On the way there we had to pass a quite technical area with sharp dunes and soft sand, so we got quite a number of opportunities to practice recoveries
when getting stuck on straight crests. Finally, we reached the area around Old Lady where the dunes are spectacular. After playing around in the big dunes exit onto the gatch road at around 12 AM and drove back to deflation BBQ point.Thank you all for joining the trip, I will be having more trips to explore this area. Special thanks to second lead febaez and sweeper petro. Caounda – this was your first intermediare drive and it was not the easiest terrain and the sand was soft but you did well, keep up the good work.
