REPORT - DXB Al Faqaa Newbie trip

Post by Georges »

What a great morning with 18 cars ready to take on Al Faqaa with cool temperatures and a nice sky. Did an ANIT briefing at the petrol station and moved to the deflation point where I did the safety briefing.

Lead: Georges
Second lead: BiNOBAID
Sweeper: Aidy
Support: Buldozer

I would like to thank BinOBAID for a solid second lead having to divert the convoy a few times during the trip. Thank you Aidy and Buldozer for your support in such a long convoy.

We headed north/north west and started playing with the nice dunes of Al Faqaa. We had the opportunity to descend some decent dunes and straight crest some sharp ones. We had our load of second tries and stucks, including me :D . We exited at around 12 noon as planned with happy faces and big smiles.

The ANITS and Newbies did really well and were able to follow a challenging route. Just continue registering in the trips and gain experience.

Please feel free to add any comments you wish below.

Thank you all for your participation and hope to see you soon in the sand.

Thank you Georges for a wonderful start of the day. It was a really nice trip with an opportunity to meet old and a lot of new faces.

Thank you Bulldozer for the assistance and the usual diesel coffee.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon

Thank you Marshal Georges for the nice trip.
And thanks for all whom supported the trip.
It was my first time with this club and I have some points as a feedback.

1- it was a newbie trip which I know that it will have alot of stucks (which I don't have any problem with), but when we are 18 this mean that we will stop for 30 mins for each crest or a little hard obstacle, I believe a newbie trip should have a maximum 8-10 cars to get the opportunity to learn and be enjoyable.

2- I believe we should create a whatsapp group for each trip to share pictures and other things.

Thanks for joining the trip Anasag123 and for your feedback.

With a little more support we would have split the convoy into 2 and had 2 parallel trips. However we were only 3 Marshals.

Pictures are shared on the club FB and I see a lot of them already shared. Please do the same as well as any other member who would like to share his/her pictures.

I hope to see you again in the sand.
Cheers
