After a number of dropouts for various reasons we ended up executing this exploration trip with one Expert driver and four Marshals.
We met at the Madinat Zayed Petrol station and moved to the entry point. Thanks to Zak we could escape the heat of the day for deflation under a subway.

After deflation and trip briefing we headed East, first to the Yellow Truck where we arrived at about 17:00 h and from there another hour towards East were we set up camp.

Although it was quite hot during midday, the temperatures in the evening, at night and early morning were just perfect. We had a lovely evening with lots of food and drink and chitchat.

Next day we got up with the sun and after breakfast and packing up we continued our way towards E15. We came across a camel herd, some oil facilities and numerous inviting dunes and half-bowls.

It was an extremely pleasant drive. Most of the area is relatively open with lovely dunes and hardly any other tracks except our own.

We shared the lead so that everybody could demonstrate their track finding, leading and navigation skills.

At around 10:30 h we reached the planned exit point at the E15, inflated and made our way home.

We had a number of stucks on the first day in some incredibly soft sand. On day 2 with the exit point just in sight I demonstrated a nice crest stuck.

Great two day and two night trip in excellent company. This part of the desert is beautiful and a great playground. Thanks Thomas for the organisation.

A trip for the history books. with such a talented and experienced group the crossing was easy. making it to the E15 shows that there is alot more to this area than the yellow truck. was a pleasure to drive with all of you.
