We met 14:30 h and after deflation and briefing decided to warm-up in the dunes to the South of the gatch road. The sand was partially soft but the dunes where wonderful. After an hour and a bit we returned to the starting point to meet Mikkel as he was supposed to come later. Coincidentally we saw him coming just as we hit the gatch road. So without further ado we continued to the area North of the Gatch. Here we found a nice flowy track that led us to the Arabian nights village where we had a break.
Mikkel took over the lead and eventually took us back to the camping area at about 18:00 h where my wife and some friends were waiting.
After a bit of chitchat the others left and Mikkel and I stayed for camping.
It was a very pleasant trip with a nice group in a very good mood. Everyone did very well and we managed the trip with only a few second tries and one stuck – myself for demonstration purposes.
I would like to thank everyone joining and in particular Mikkel for part-leading, Dion for excellent 2ndlead, Andrei for a solid sweep and Bassam for being the core and body of the convoy with his Jimny.
See you all soon again in the sand

Thank you Thomas for the magnificent experience.
The dunes were untouched and with an amazing formations which made for an interesting drive.
One of the pinnacles of the trip was when we made it to the highest dune in the area which offers a breathtaking views to an endless dune formations. prior to joining AD4x4 I thought it was impossible for a car to drive up, but your tracks made it super easy.
Congrats Mikkel on the solid partial lead.
