We all met at 15:00h and after safety and trip briefing went into the dunes to warm up. After a while we met the Expert group that was playing in the same area for a quick chat. We continued towards the East and Deborah took on the task of doing a part-lead and navigating to a pre-agreed waypoint. Ahmed and Thomas had to leave us at this point due to other commitments.
Thank you both for joining and supporting the trip.

We continued into a nice dune range leading towards the Khazna area, roller-coasting in the clean and nice medium sized dunes. At about 17:30 h we turned around making our way back towards the Al Faya road. Unfortunately we had a pop-out on the way back that took a little longer to fix then expected.

However, we still managed to reach the exit point safely in the last light of the day.
Both Deborah and Surya did a really good job. And thanks to Jean always keeping an eye on us.

Our two advances drove very well, a few second attempts and a nice pop out.

There couldn’t be a better way to leave the working week behind then joining a trip with Thomas and Jean on a Friday afternoon
Thank you for giving me the chance to lead the group for some time, for the smooth drive through the dunes and for all the support - also from Surya - when my car had the pop out.

Belated thanks for an enjoyable drive, perfect way to start the weekend. And we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset while working on the pop-out.
