We have met up and done the briefing in strong sunshine with another group also visiting the area. After a discussion about the Yellow Truck area and what to watch out for we made a start into the dunes. Since it was a new area for many of the team we started mild and slowly increased the spiciness of the drive. The area is beautiful with no tracks and no sabkha, the only option is to drive on the sea of sand. We played alot all the way to the yellow truck with only 2 stucks and recoveries. After the yellow truck we headed south to the water reserve and split up around 6km from the exit for us to make a camp and others to go home. It was a beautiful night of camping with no moon and completely clear sky.
All drivers have done an amazing job and good support given from the trusty Marshals.
