Exploring Razeen - Convoy 1

Post by Octopus »

Drivers:
Zak - Fortuner (lead)
Deborah - FJ (2nd lead)
Adam - JL
Mike - Xterra
Tim - JKU (sweep and partial lead)

We found the place! 23.72066, 54.85762 The area around this bowl is some beautiful sand, like a mini Al Quoa. My guess is that they are very new dunes as there are no bushes and just open bowls and side slopes with nice crests.

After a combines brieifing we split into 2 convoys with Rene leading the other group. As all of the drivers with me were requesting for the upgrade we took tough technical track with a few easy side crests but mostly lots of difficult ditches and and tricky dunes to tackle. Everyone did very well and we all got stuck except Tim.

After a couple of breaks I handed over the lead to Tim and he tooks us on a nice track through the dunes. With about 1 hour time left and our passengers suffering from motion sickness we headed to the sabkha and found the gem of an area that was so nice we had to enjoy it for a few mins.

Thanks all for joining and hope to see you soon.

Zak

What a great afternoon: being lead by both - Zak and Tim - with a good speed going really smooth. And going through this wonderful, perfect and untouched area - what more could you ask for? ;-)
Thanks everyone for the nice company and Zak and Tim for the great trip.
