Posted: Fri Jul 08, 2022 5:41 pm
So Marshal Ahmed decided to announce this trip as introduction to the next level which is intermediate and drivers were required to have a minimum 6 Newbi trips to be able to join.
9 drivers were registered for the trip, our meeting time was at 6am In Al Faya, by 6:20 Marshal Ahmed started the brief explaining the purpose of the trip and the technique of driving as intermediate.
Convey order was set as below:
1- Marshal Ahmed
2- Sunith (second lead)
3- Anshif
4- Julius
5- Erick
6- Paolo (Support)
7- Samir
8- Kassab
9- Mahmoud (Sweeper)
10- Expert Waleed (Support)
We started moving by 6:30am, Marshal Ahmed started with some medium dunes to warm up and to test the level, skills of the drivers, the track was great and all drivers did great while driving in intermediate level. After half hour we stopped for a break.
After the break Marshal Ahmed allowed me to do a part lead, AFTER MAKING SURE THE DRIVERS CAN DRIVE IN INTERMEDIATE LEVEL, it was again a good experience to be able to lead a newbi convoy under intermediate level, we did drove around some open areas with medium size dunes were we practiced side slopping a lot on our way. As we reach some of the technical areas some drivers had second tries, we had around 5 stuck but it was an easy recovery.
All drivers showed good skills on handling their cars while doing the side slop.
The weather was just amazing cloudy with some rain, so we didn’t want to leave and wanted to stay more.
At 8:50 we decided to hit the way back and I chose an easy track for the exit.
Marshal Ahmed thanks for allowing me to do the part lead and thanks for arranging this trip as introduction to the next level , it really helps drivers to get them selves prepared for the next level. We hope to see more trips of introduction in the future.
Thanks all for attending it was wonderful TRIP & DAY
See you all soon on the DUNES
