DXB- Back to Sand

Post by KomSer »

The trip capacity was 8 but we had more interest to this drive and 4 more member were on the waiting list. I accepted all since I had support from Marshal Tilki. Afham did not show up on the meeting point.
Great drivers were
- Marshal Tilki
- Expert Ozzy
Intermediates
- Tamer
- Muhammad Azib
Newbies
- Cleweih
- Avni34
- Iremmeri
- Huerol
ANIT Drivers
- Ozgur
- Kkilicer
- Selin Piskiner
We all met at 2nd December cafeteria, briefing done by me and arranged the convoy order. Tamer was my second lead and Ozzy was sweeper, Marshal Tilki was floating. We started with warm ups and increased the convoy pace in every quarter of the trip. We had some stucks and some second tries. All managed very well without any issue.
We had 2 tea breaks and chitchat in a great atmosphere.

We had 3 new joiners to the club, Ozgur & Kivanc have good experience from the other clubs and they did great during the drive. It was not their first at sand. Selin did her first drive with her sister and both were great.

Clemens and Avny deserve to get their upgrades. It’s time for them to get it. Irem & Huseyin did very well by today, they were great as well.

Tamer & Muhammad was supporting me and thanks them being with me during drive.

Special thanks to Marshal Tilki & Expert Ozzy.

See you at sand

Warm Regards

Thank you Marshal Serkan for the drive. The route you choose was excellent and quite different. Loved the positivity, politeness and kindness of all members, specially all supports team. Had an awesome day with some beautiful people.

Hello Everyone,

First of all, thanks for Marshal Serkan for this organization!

It was my first drive in the club. We met in the morning and had a nice briefing from Serkan.
Serkan was leading the convoy, Tamer was the second lead, I was driving at the third position. Izzy was sweeper and Tilki Marshal was doing floating marshal duty.
There was new drivers and not much experienced. That’s why he explained the convoy rules and experiences very well.

So drive was for based on newbie level, but convoy did good job that’s why we enjoyed with the track. Generally we have done straight crest crossing and giving clearance on radio communication. Which is the fundamental of the convoys.

Again thanks for our marshals Serkan and Tilki, also for sweep support from Ozzy.

Additionally; today I have learned from Irem, how to remove my traction fuse from fuse box. Until now I was using the dashboard button. Thanks to Irem as well!

So overall it was a great drive and it was nice to meet with you all of you, hope so see you on the sand back soon!

We had a fun day in the desert today. The convoy was mixed ability with some intermediate, mostly higher level newbie, and one absolute newbie who did amazingly well. I think Marshal Serkan chose a very suitable track for this particular group.

I joined the drive as the sweeper, and I had with me a family with two kids as my guests. They had a great time during the trip. They were also impressed by the family-oriented and friendly atmosphere of the club.

I agree with Serkan's observations about Avni and Clemens. I also had a chance to observe their driving today, and they definitely looked ready for the next level.

Last but not least, I was pleasantly surprised to see Marshal Tilki at the deflation point. I didn't know that he was going to join us today. Having him around is always nice and definitely makes convoy management easier. :-)
