DXB My First Off-Road Drive Vol 2

Post by KomSer »

there were more than 30 registrants. Due to some personal and some technical issues a few of the members couldn't join to the drive and we did the drive with 28 cars. We had great support from the Marshals and seniors, Thanks to all of them who supported the drive.

It was nice weather and nice community with new faces. We had 4 new members who joined to the club.

Due to high demand, we divided the convoys into 3

Convoy-1
Marshals Serkan & Sai, Expert Kayra & Abdallah, Advance Omar, Intermediate John and ANIT drivers were Joeven, Irem, Huseyin, Can

Convoy-2
Marshal Carlo, Explorer Sinan, Intermediate Bobby, Newbies Dimitri, Emily, Tamer, Michal, Mohammad

Convoy-3
Marshal Bulldozer / Mustafa, Intermediate Sohail, Newbies Mohammad, Heba, Shinoy, Hashim, Jalal

Many of us met at the parking of Qudra last Exit. The place were fully packed and there was no any available slot to park our cars. Hence we started moving at 09:15 am. Some of us joined us at the deflation point.

We have done general briefing for everybody and individual for groups. After the briefing each convoy moved with their team.

We had 4 new members on the club and all did very well despite of being their first drives. Congrats to Irem, Can, Huseyin and Joeven. Welcome to the family.

In my convoy we had a few stuck and second tries. All have been managed well and everybody did great.

Thanks for joining and see you at the sand.

Regards
Serkan

Thank you Marshal Serkan for arranging the drive.

I was in group 3, which was led by Marshal Mustafa in the beginning and later by mighty Bulldozer. It was a really exciting drive for me as I was 2nd lead for the very first time. The drive was full of challenges but at the same time safe for the level of the drivers (majority newbies). Sohail provided excellent support throughout the drive with many stucks and re-tries. Learned a lot from both marshals and supports. Thank you all.

That was an amazing first drive!

I was in Convoy 1, I was so excited to introduce my car to the sand for the first time and I am so glad to start with this club!🤗 It felt very safe with great leader, 2nd leader and supporters all around.

Happy to meet you all! See you soon🙌🏻

Thanks,
Irem

Like always this trip was also well organized from you and great briefing session for new joiners. My job limited with driving around your convoy. Good tracks and teachings for new members.

God bless.

In our group, all the members drove very well, went thru all the abstacles, took them in some technical areas(my game), in some cases we had to move the track 2 or 3 meters(Non jeepers) easier ones to not damage their 4 wheels, we've had several second tries, recovery and pop out.
Bobby was my second lead, you've accomplished your mission perfectly.
Future Marshals: Dimitri, Emily, Michal, Mohammad, Tamer, you've done well guys as a second trip

And the big thanks comes to my brother Sinan, instructions, recoveries, pop out and definitly the smiley super man colours(or Pepsi)

Hope you enjoyed the drive, see you soon on the sand

Thank you Marshal Serkan for organizing this lovely morning drive. The outstanding number of people attending the drive especially newbie and anit only indicates how widespread our reputation as a club focusing on the safety and educational attributes, and this means that we have a lot of work to do for the season that we are upon. Nevertheless, the vast number of intermediate and above attending supporting these trips shows the togetherness our hsa...

I was leading convoy 3 with Muhammed Azib as 2nd lead, Sohail as sweeper, and Waleed as support. All the three gentlemen did extremely well with Muhammed being the highlight among all accomplishing his first task given to him .. Thanks to all of you.

The rest of the convoy members were Hiba, Shinoy, Hashim, and Jalal (Abo Seif). And of course the blessing of Chief Marshal Bulldozer.

We chose a track mixed up between easy side slopes, flap top ridges and crest, and lot of straight cresting. Generally the team drove well with few 2nd tries here and there and couple of recoveries as well.

Chief Bulldozer suggested to take lead last half an hour or so to spice up the track a bit.

All members returned back to inflation point with a huge smile on their faces.

Looking forward to the next one guys.

Convoy 1 led by Serkan did well with two snatch recoveries and few second tries. We had 4 ANIT drivers and they quickly gained confidence in driving on sand.

Look forward to see our Newbies on more drives.

I was in Convoy 1 and I really enjoyed driving with everyone else in the group. I gained confidence and additional knowledge that I need on more upcoming drives.
