DXB- Fast advance / ADV / 08.01.2022

The trip has been organized by Marshal Sai (Sai27). Participants were;

SandSailor - Emre (partial lead / 2nd lead)
Kayra - Engin (partial lead / 2nd lead)
Marcolino333 - Marco
Waleedaljaberi - Waleed (Sweeper)

All met at Al Madam meeting point on time. After deflating Sai gave a short briefing and explained that he will start the trip as lead but after a short warm-up it will be partially lead by Emre and Engin who had been recently promoted to Expert. Engin gave his first official briefing in fashion with Sai's toy Jeep and the convoy started its journey with Sai as the leader, Engin as 2nd lead and Waleed as official Sweeper.

Last weeks heavy rain has impacted the sand where it was rock hard at times and soft mud elsewhere and heavy tracks everywhere. After a short intro and warmup, Emre took the lead and we played around Madam high dunes from one to another all the way to Super Bowl. There were a couple of other convoys in the vicinity so at times we took our time, tested our skills, did some climbs, cresting, side sloping and switching at times. Started with a slow tempo and increased gradually. At Super Bowl, Engin took the lead, take the convoy to Super Bowl run and then increased the tempo continuing the journey towards Badayer shops, chasing bigger dunes ion the way.

Everyone was very controlled with enough power and speed where needed. No stucks. Marco continued to impress with much more control in terms of speed and enough momentum at crests, did very well especially in a couple of tricky climbs. Waleed, testing his new beadlocks, has been spot on with the level of power and limited drift this time. Sai kept his eye on the convoy all times, despite his upset stomach and we finished on time at Badayer shops.

Thank you Marshal Sai for giving us the opportunity for our partial leads and Waleed and Marco for the great drive, your patience with us and also your feedback. Definitely a new chapter started for us in our off-roading journey and its a great pleasure to drive with such good company and be part of AD4x4 family.

See you all on sand soon
Emre

Thanks Emre for the detailed trip report. I agree that a new chapter started for us indeed, after having been accepted into the leaders group.
It was another good drive for me as I am very much used to following your tire marks.

On my half of the lead, I tried to continue the fast pace by finding more virgin dunes and it was difficult. Season being at its peak, it is not easy to find a square inch of desert sand without tracks in Badayer area. Superbowl and Iftarbowl are not so much fun to climb with lots of bumps on the way. In any case, I tried my best to provide a fast paced advance drive to my fellow drivers and I hope they enjoyed it.

Marco is improving rapidly. He is handling his vehicle remarkably well compared to our time together during the late days of summer. I must also say, I admire Marco and Francesca's dedication to offroad driving and camping.
Waleed does have a fully functioning Capsul now after having his beadlocks installed. I agree with Emre that during this drive he was more in control of his vehicle with more controlled drifting.

Thanks to Sai for encouraging us and patiently helping us to increase our skill set in desert driving.

Love you all,
Engin

Thanks you Marshal Sai for organizing such trip early morning to keep our heart pumping for the rest of the day.

Emre and Engine it was I believe your first time to lead an advance convey, I was really happy and enjoying my drive behind both of you. Although it was a fun to find good tacks while the area is spoiled.

I hope to have more drives with you guys leading to learn more.

Again congratulations for your upgrades.

See you all soon on the DUNES ✌🏽✌🏽✌🏽

Great company & Excellent lead by Emre & Engin. You both know how to draw your own track and you guys touched almost all big dunes in that part of desert. I was the last car behind Waleed & Marco. Marco & Waleed’s passion for off-roading and consistency to learn more reflected that day.

Track, Lead, Convoy order all were perfect that day. Safe and out on time. Awaiting to follow your next advance leads.

God bless..

It was a really nice day, Sai warm us up well and then Emre and Engine took the lead, they did a good job finding nice track in a so spoiled area alternating fast pace to big dunes. Their first lead was very well handled. As usual I enjoy the good spirit of the company and the amazing day on the sand.
See you soon guy and congrats again for the well deserved promotion
