We met at 09:00 h at the end of the Bu Tais gatch road and after safety & trip briefing we headed straight into the dunes. The temperature was very nice and the sand relatively soft. We drove along the ridge of dunes to the East turned around and headed back to the tree dune where we had a longer break.
We finished the trip at around 12:30 h at the Bu Tais gate.
We practiced a lot of driving in big bowls and climbing long and steep slopes as well as manoeuvring in more technical dunes.
One stuck and a number of second tries were handled efficiently by the support team.
The 2 intermediates used the opportunity to hone their skills, Timothy also being my second lead.

Great many thanks to John (also sweeper), Asif and Borja for excellent and well appreciated support and advice.

Thanks for two amazing drives. You and the rest of the drivers have taught me so much on my first two intermediate drives. I am looking forward to the next trip.

It was a beautiful morning for a desert trip. Thank you Thomas for organising it. Very good choice of tracks which allowed the two intermediate drivers to perfect their engine power management.
Still a lot of fun to ride in the desert with Asif and Borja.
