BU TAIS Intermediate Trip Report 10 December

Everyone arrived on time at the BU TAIS door, the morning was cool, which was a good omen.

The team consisted of :

Aurélien**

Aurélien found himself alone in the middle of an advance and experts for his second trip. Michael decided to explore a western part of BU TAIS that had not been visited before. The terrain was very technical with small dunes in which the level was very suitable for an intermediate trip. After a short hour Michael gave the lead to René who descended southwards to the higher dunes. He found some very good technical passages in an excellent rhythm. It was my turn to lead an hour later and increasing the pace and difficulty, I headed due east to find the track that took us back to the start. It was a very good trip for Aurelien who was able to work on managing the power of his jeep and start to master the uphill sections. In the end he drove very well and safely with three different leaders and also thanks to Florian for his support.

Thank you Michael for giving us the lead again on an intermediate trip, it's very instructive.

Thanks for organising this this trip, Michael, and for sharing the lead with John and I. It was an amazing morning, with a great group of drivers. Was a good opportunity to lead and get used to navigating and constantly changing the drive to intermediate level - but went well. Aurélien did excellent and Florian was solid sweeper. Thanks to both John and René for providing different but equally enjoyable intermediate level tracks. Our lone intermediate did very well for his second drive at the level. And a big thanks to the sweeper, Florian, for keeping things tidy at the back.
