The convoy capacity was 8, 3 did not show up and we moved to the deflation point. Al Faqa is the place we did not visit there since years and I was a bit excited to do this drive. The area is really nice to enjoy especially after restrictions at the other places. Waleed was my second lead, Engin was third car and kept an eye on the convoy, Peter and John rotated the sweeper role during the drive.
I saw a pigeon standing on sand without moving and stopped the convoy to check it. We noticed that its eyes has been closed that’s why it cannot move. (most probably it has been planned to be used as bait for falcons and succeeded to escape) We tried to take it out however couldn’t catch it despite of a few trials and decided to leave her.

There were 2 parts on the drive, the first one Al Faqa, it has a bit higher dunes and the second is Al Qudra, smaller and softer dunes.

We played all around and enjoyed the day. Engin kept an eye on the convoy, Peter and John was great and both handled the sweeper role. Waleed was great with his capsul and he was the second lead.

The drive has been finished in Solar Park in qudra

A tale of two drives. Both fantastic. Al Faqa and then Alqudra Another Epic day.

Even allowing for the different levels within the convoy everyone was able to enjoy the day.

I truly loved driving at a new place Serkan. Thanks for organizing the drive. We should do Al Faqa’a more often.

It was a smooth drive with all fellow drivers handling their vehicles safely.

I would feel much better if we could save that poor pigeon from the brutal cover on her eyes but unfortunately we could not in two attempts.
