Bu tais intermediates 30/10/22

Post by ossme »

Hi all! :)

Michael was kind enough to let me and Jean (CANTALOUBE) share the lead for this trip. So I'm writing this review on their behalf.

Apart from the three cancelations, we all made it to bu Tais at 7:00 AM sharp.

our convoy consisted of:

Marshal Support: Michael (Emdoc)
Lead and Co-Lead: Osama and John
Members: Nick (Calvink888), Ahmed Soufan (Sarab), and last but not least, Aneesh (Aneeshsunny)

I led the first half of the trip and decided to go to Lower Butais to avoid the traffic. Unfortunately, traffic is what we found, as the desert was full of cars, campers, and tracks. Still, after a 5-minute warmup, we managed to have some great time, side slopping the big dunes while avoiding the traffic. The team did well, and we only had a few minor second tries and no stucks. Finally, we ended my part playing around the big bowls and descending to the tree dunes.
After resting, and debriefing by Michael, John took over the lead and headed to the virgin unexplored dunes. I was amazed by how well he handled the new area and switched to a more technical trip. Again, the team did very well and adapted quickly.

We finished the trip at 11:00 pm, and apart from my missing license plate, we had no issues!

Thank you all for joining the trip, and see you again next time! 8-)
Proud to be Ad4x4 Marshal. :)

Thank you Michael for allowing Osama and I to lead, it was very enjoyable. Thank you Osama for your part of the lead which was superb, great slops and excellent rhythm. Nick has progressed enormously and is driving safely and efficiently. Ahmed and Aneesh drove very well and made the right decisions when needed.
See you soon on the sand.

Thanks for a great morning out Osama and John. 2 different but equally well chosen tracks with excellent opportunities for development of intermediate skills.

All drivers did well.

Looking forward to more drives like these
