Afternoon explorers in Bu tais 22/10/21

After a number of withdrawals and a no show. A small band of 3 willing explorers (Ilkir, Abdul and I) headed out to find new paths through the Bu tais sands.
We started in a technical area to sharpen vehicle control and focus attention on reading the terrain. After a while the dunes grew in size and openness until we ended up in the large bowls on the edge of upper Bu tais. As the sun started to descend and after plenty of fun we wound our way across the dunes and into the gatch, arriving at the inflation point shortly after 5:30.
It was an enjoyable afternoon with two good drivers that tested a wide range of intermediate level vehicular skills, and both drivers did very well indeed.
