Last minute newbie with Tilki - DXB

Post by Gabor »

Today was a very hot day again. We gathered together with the intermediate drivers ( by Sai) at Al Madam farms area, than splitted to two conwoys. Our group had 3 newbie drivers, one of them is a first timer with us. So the briefing became to ANIT presentation also.
We drove on the right side of this big dune what was quite technical, but the drivers acted very well. When we reached the open area, practised some nice drops, exiting from a medium bowl, cresting sharp edges sraightly and for fun, several recoveries. At the middle I swapped my position with Tilki, I started to lead the group and Tilki observed and took care about everithing what happened behind me. The guys did their job really well, so we practised some easy slooping in a light roller coster mode. :) At the end, very near to Badayer shop tried to run up and slooping safely under supervision of Tilki, then go for inflating.
Hopefully all of you enjoyed and will join next time also.
Thank you Tilki marshal, Jock63, Moonpatrol and Shariff!
(Moonpatrol drove confidently, well focused on his ANIT drive, I suggest to Tilki give him his first start.

For an ANIT drive, or any drive for that matter, this was a brilliant. Everything from small dunes that were technically difficult (For me anyway) because the sand was so soft, to big bowls that we snaked our way up to the top.

Then for the ending, 10 minutes playing on the big slopes

Hats off to Tilki & Gabor for a brilliant run and brilliant driving by Moonpatrol on his first run with the club and Shariff confident as always. You'll be on intermediate runs in no time Shariff.

Fantastic Time guys, thanks to all

Wow, such a lovely companion with 2 Jeep, 2 Toyota and Ford Explorer 2004. :D :D

We realized to Moon Patrol has not first star then adjusted to trip level as ANIT drive.
After many technical, small and medium dunes crossing with succeed that, we convinced about Edgar to increase level as newbie drive.
He did great job with Ford Explorer, even he came so long way from Abu Dhabi to Al Madam on first time. :newbee: :okie: :sun3:

Thanks Jock63 (Peter) and his Wrangler for perfect second lead. Specially he followed instruction on technical area without any issue during entire trip. :dance2: :dance2:

Shariff, I know how you feel without skid plate powerful FJ. also you did great job.
Wish to see you with new protection on next level. good job... :hoya: :hoya:

And Gabor,
Thanks Brother,
How many recovery ? we did not count but I have one
This one is the advance recovery, Peter and Shariff supported as extra counter weight on my side due to slope position.

Excellent support and lead thanks again. Appreciated to join on that last minute newbie trip.
:ad4x4:

We could not find time to drink some cup of tea, but promise for next.
Shared our tea with ADNOC Petrol Station people

Wish to see All again on different dunes and places.
