Intermediate Convoy - Misso Bisho Farewell Event
Posted: Sat Jun 19, 2021 2:17 pm
It was a privilege to lead an Intermediate convoy in one of the biggest events organized by our club in recent times.
I think it was a befitting farewell to two of the stalwarts of the club. I was away from dunes for almost a month due to the harsh weather and that unfortunate tyre blast accident. However it was impossible for me to skip this event; which was organized in honour of a family who were so supportive and encouraging in my journey at this lovely club.
Our convoy got together at 4:30. Details of the convey:
Jithesh - Lead
Chrismon - 2nd Lead
Sunet
Reji
Dileep
Vishnu
Thomas (Expert) -Sweeper
Supporting Marshals: Mark & Anthony
After the briefing, the drive was started by 4.40 pm. Since the area near to gate 12 was crowder than SZ Road, we moved to some less busy areas.
The intermediate members of the convoy got ample opportunities to learn & horn the skills of slide sloping on some of the larger dunes of the area.
Though it was his first intermediate drive, Dileep did extremely well. Other drivers also did really well. There was only one recovery during the entire trip.
The trip concluded at the barbecue point at 7.20 pm.
It was really a pleasure to receive positive feedbacks from both Marshals and convoy members at the end of the trip.
Big thanks & salutes to the support team: Anthony, Mark and Thomas.
Looking forward to seeing you guys.
