First Time on Sand with Pharoah at Sweihan 8 Jan 2021 –Trip Report (Convoy 2)

Trip Report (Convoy 2)
The Trip was organized and lead by Marshal Pharoah. We all met at BBQ Meeting Point Sweihan at 1430. The trip participants were split into 3 Convoys by Marshal Pharoah. I lead Convoy No.2 of Newbies and will cover the trip report of my convoy as follows:
My convoy comprised following:
1 Marshal (Lead Irfan)
1 Marshal Support ( Marshal Adiga)
1 Advance Support( Pshasha)
1 Intermediates (Nandika 2nd Lead)
8 Newbie ( Cristohe, Lebybjj, Cibyjacob, Simonsunny, Prameel, Shanereji, Vishnu and 1 ANIT (on Patrol Safari ))
We started our trip at 1510 after detailed briefing and setting up of convoy order. Nandika was my second lead, whereas Vishnu as last car of convoy making reports as sweeper of convoy. Thanks Nandika for very solid second lead and clear communications, and Vishnu for your reports as last car of convoy. Pshasha keeping close eye on convoy movement and provided support and advice where needed. Thanks Pshasha for your extraordinary support. We started slowly with smooth and easy track for ANIT and later increased to medium level of Newbies. We had numerous second tries and 2 stucks which all were recovered by Nandika under supervision of Marshal Adiga and myself. We ended trip in time at 1730 at BBQ pt near Gate 12. After signing of log books, some of us sat for BBQ/ Chit Chat whereas other drivers decided to leave.
All drivers showed improvement in handling their vehicles and learned how to control momentum while negotiating obstacles (straight crest and decent). It may be mentioned here that drivers joining Newbie trips are expected to join with complete safety and recovery gear of Newbie level (Few drivers were without required equipment).
