Night Drive Intermediate 07.Dec.2020

We all met mostly on time and were greeted with some good coffee courtesy Justahmedo. After some last minute cancellations, we started the trip with a nimble convoy of 5 cars.

Redbeard
Cantaloube
Jithu(sweeper)
Couple of drivers were on their first night drives at this level, so we had a detailed briefing and set off from BBQ point around 6.30.
The plan was to reach Nagra and the convoy made short work of the pre gatch stretch. Everybody showed good control and we stopped briefly to check if the drivers were comfortable.
The chosen track was a mix of technical, short and long flowing lines for a flavor of all types of challenges and we approached Nagra through the farms on the east.
We took a long break at Nagra under a perfect sky and cool breeze. The night definitely helped to forget the plastic eyesore everywhere. We also got to do a surprise birthday celebration for one of the passengers with cake cutting.
On the return leg, we did some side sloping on longer dune faces which were handled well by the drivers and and we safely reached the bbq point by 9 pm.
37 km of good driving with a few second drives and a demo stuck from me.
Justahmedo was a solid second lead and showed good control. Redbeard and Cantaloube did good for their respective firsts in the night drive mode and Jithu was a dependable support as always.
