Trip Report: Newbie trip in Sweihan (Shaalan) 30th Nov. 2018

On 30th Nov 2018, all met and gathered on time in Sweihan wedding hall area. The group then drove to deflation point and gathered for an ANIT briefing carried out by Marshals PHARAOH and ScotchyI. We had 5 ANIT members and 6 Newbie and one advance level driver in the convoy. We decided to maintain one convoy to have better control.
I lead the convoy with the support of our marshals and Rogue one being our sweeper. The trip started through the very small dunes rather little technical. Later through the trip, the level was increased a little, we got few stocks and second tries that I hope have added value to the drivers.
We drove our way to Nagra, but reached there a little late (around 5:20 p.m). We decided to stay for around 5 minutes only before heading back to BBQ point. We had few second tries on the way back and were running out of time to read BBQ before sunset. Although, our way back was utilizing the flat area of Sweihan, we had to drive after sunset the last 3 Km. I believe this was an experience to some being first timers, but we understand that the convoy was in a safe area and route.
All drivers have shown excellent control and skills.
