F150 Lovers

Post by Wasabi »

Guys,

I am looking at the possibility to get a F150 Raptor (the wife does not know yet  )

I need you guys to give me the + & - of this monster.
- Is it a reliable car in the long therm?
- Is it easy to maintain?
- Is it easy to get spare parts in GCC?
- ect????

Thank you so much for your feed back :D

Wasabi, please feel free to speak direct to our explorer Matt (Pearlgate59) who drives a raptor and can give you first hand advice +971 553701789 as he has done everything from dune bashing, commute, camping, and a bit of overlanding stuff.

You could try to join one of the members on a trip so you can experience first hand the commute to and drive in the desert. It helped me a lot and you get to hear a lot during the few hours in the car together.

I balanced for a while between a F150 (FX4 - not a raptor) and FJ and in good consultation with the home front I happily settled for the FJ because i'm not the only one taking it into the sand and my wife had to be able to climb on board and look under the hood without a staircase. However, for me, the 'V8 virus' is difficult to get rid off, once you have driven one...
