Hi there everybody. I am a Newbie UK lady driver from Dubai and have caught the offroading bug. So after 5 years of skirting around the subject I decided to join your very chatty community. it sounds like you have a lot of fun and learn a lot from each other. I've had 2 or 3 trips driving in the desert - one frequently stuck short one in Liwa, one with the Landrover's owners Club and lost my Pajero bumper in Al Awir on the last one. I cant wait to get on an Dubai ANIT soon and learn new from all you experienced folk out there.

Hi guys and girls.
I joined the AD4x4 club to learn how to better enjoy the outdoors here in Abu Dhabi.
I have some 4x4 back ground from the uk with land rover 90's and jeep wranglers.
At present im the proud owner of a Dodge Ram 1500 Raid edition.
It is undergoing a few changes to make it more suitable.
I know its still a heavy lump but we shall see how far it can go with out a snatch rope.

Hello all. I've been here in Abu Dhabi for about 4 years and finally bought a jeep. I'm driving a 91 YJ and I love it. I have much 4x4 experience with my 2010 JK Rubicon in the states, but it's all in wood and and rocky terrain. Desert driving is new for me. Looking forward to getting out and joining a few trips.

My name is Nini and I just bought a new Prado, as we were thinking of future proofing our family vehicle. Right now it's only being used for city trips but I feel off-roading is in my blood.

I haven't ever tried off-roading but I am looking to get classes at EDI and to get my own off-roading license as well.

However, I want to ask if I can start showing up in meets, just to meet you amazing people and perhaps decide for myself if it's truly for me, this hobby.

I am aware that it will of course entail some cost if you want to go trekking with the vehicle, but I guess I want to immerse myself in a community first before taking the big splash.

Hope you guys could invite me to some of your upcoming events. I currently work at Yas F1circuit and I would be glad to give anyone a quick tour provided they let me know beforehand.

Welcome to the club.

Just join any of our ANIT trip (Absolute Newbie Instructions Trip) and start learning how to use your Prado offroad.

The EDI is a great course; it was designed by AD4x4

The only comment I have is that there is lot of information/discussions/posts on your website, this tells to me that you are a big and very active group. At the same time, I just started to navigate the site and I am getting lost.
Can you help with knowing if there is any beginner desert trip planned for the coming weekend or the next?

Welcome Federico to the family, you can start with ANIT trip, keep an eye on this forum in order to register in the first ANIT trip announced
