Hi All,

I read today in some forums where it seems places like Al Barsha car inspection centre in Dubai is failing cars because they have roof racks, wheel spacers and the like. In summery getting tougher. Anyone got that experience lately?

Yeah, they failed my Car last November for the auxiliary lights although they are all covered!!
So I had to take them off for the inspection and reinstall them again, the technician comment was that LED lights are prohibited.

Update: Inspection was done in Al Ain

I had my truck inspected in Shahama in November. Passed no issues. I covered the Light bar but the side spotlights were not covered and they said nothing.
The F150UAE Club guys have been successful there too. And the Mahawi Camp ADNOC.

Hi FidoDido,

How much is your car modified? I guess you are referring to the inspection centre at Arabian Center.

Thanks.

Hi Georges,

I went with the headlights, roof light bar, steel plumber and wheels spacers.

Yes, at Arabian center.

I went to the Emarat Petrol Station in Nadd Al Hamar on the D62 in Dubai in December. They didn’t say anything at all. I covered the LED light. The inspection station at Arabian Center wouldn’t take the truck, Tundra, said it was too big.

Thanks. Today I went to the Arabian Centre station and before giving it for inspection I ask the responsible person to look at my car and let me know if it will pass. I was told the car was too wide due to the spacers and the roof rack is an issue. The lights were ok as they were covered.

Tomorrow I will try Al Barsha.

Anyone had any experience and issue with roof racks in the last 3 months ?

Thanks.

Ok. Renewal done today at AL Barsha but had to remove the roof rack first.

Mabrook. You're still luckily to get it pass in Al Barsha.
