All met on time and we smoothly reached the deflation point, departing for the dunes at 8am.
Convoy consisted of:
- Flaghunter (lead)
- OffroadRon (second lead)
- Mira
- DesertDriver (sweeper)
We headed straight to the high dunes of Bu Tais, practicing and sometimes challenging ourselves with some high dunes side-cresting. Since there were three Jeeps in the convoy, we were destined for some technical problems but no major faults occurred, apart from some overheating and tire troubles. There were quite a few second/third/fourth tries but all drivers demonstrated very good judgement and control of their vehicles. We turned around when we reached more technical areas and returned back in easy advanced style, playing in the dunes up until 11:30, when we headed back to a gatch road. We were back on the tarmac and inflating by 12 noon. Covered a distance of about 60km in the dunes and had quite a lot of fun. Thanks everyone for the drive!
