It was good to see such a huge turn-up for the pink drive. Most of them were on time at the gas station but it took us 1 hour to meet everyone and get the checkin done. We left the gas station towards the deflation point.
After quick segregation of convoys we ended up with 2 intermediate and 3 newbie convoys. Thank you Adiga for ANIT briefing :)
Newbie convoy 1 started the drive about 3:30pm. Slowly getting into the shallow dunes of Faqa we started moving towards east. We had to skip the starting a bit as we were already 1 hour late to start the drive. After driving about 8km next to the fence we entered the dunes again heading towards sony ericsson dunes. Initially the few members were hesitant but then confidence builded up and everyone started performing well and reached Iftar bowl at 5:30pm
Thank you everyone for coming for this trip. Special thanks to Karam for supporting us and Bhavesh for sweeping. It will indeed a beautiful day with very complimenting weather.
