Newbie Al Khazna to Al Khatim 29/01/2021

We all met at deflation point on time, except a couple of cars who did not showed up, however, we completed the ANIT briefing conducted by our Marshal Adiga focusing on the main safety rules, required equipment’s and skills required for driving newbie.
Thereafter we set up our awesome group in three convoys to start the FUN.

This report will be for ANIT convoy, Irfan & Suliman will post the reports for 1st & 2nd newbie convoy’s.

Convoy was set having Stefan as my second lead and Black Widow as the official sweeper watching our back. Thank you both for doing a great job.

We started our drive as planned to meet other convoys in the old BBQ point in Al Khatim, and other convoys made it safely.
For the ANIT was a bit challenging where we had several second tries and few technical stucks with a lot of time consumed to recover. (can't wait to see the photos from our pro photographer )

We tried to catch up with the other group to meet them in Al Khatim, but unfortunately, we had another issue with the new Pathfinder and we decided to go back on the main road safely to inflate our tiers and go home with big smile on faces.

Though, it’s a well spent day with great people.

Looking forward seeing you all soon in the sand.

It was amazing trip. The Marshal Omar and his support Ahmed were very nice and friendly. They were above my expectations.
It highly recommended to join them next time.

Newbie Al Khazna to Al Khatim on 29 Jan 2021 –Trip Report (Convoy 1)

Thanks Marshal Omar for organizing and leading Mega Trip of Newbies. I lead Convoy No.1 of Newbies and will cover the trip report of my convoy as follows:

Convoy 1

My convoy comprised following:
1 Marshal Lead ( irfpk)
1 Support Marshal and Explorer (Adiga and Pshasha)
6 Newbies ( cmj1388, ashraf, Oskarb, Windy, Martin100, KjellD)

We started our trip after setting up of convoy order. Oskarb (Pajero) was my second lead and KjellD ( Wrangler) was sweeper of convoy. Thanks Oskarb for solid second Lead and KjellD for sweeper duties. You both did fantastic job. Marshal Adiga kept close eye on smooth movement of convoy and helped everyone in negotiating the obstacles. We started slowly with smooth and easy track heading towards Al khatim. After warm up, I increased the level of drive for learning Newbie level skills. We had numerous second tries and 2 stucks which all were handled/ supervised by Marshal Adiga and Myself. We ended trip in time at 1745 at Main Rd ( infront of Club old BBQ pt Al Khatim). I hope everybody enjoyed the trip as I did and improved upon some newbie level skills.

The trip was a lot of fun with loads of guidance and support from our leader Mr Omar and others of our ANIT gp.

All the experts displayed a lot of patience and always tried to keep us all together which was very encouraging.Regular communication also kept us reassured on the drive..
