Unfortunately, Carlo was not feeling well. The drive was posted by Carlo. We all wished his a speedy recovery.


We met at the Badayer shops 8.00am. The turnout for the drive was very impressive. Bulldozer assigned 2 teams, absolute newbies lead Abdu and 2nd team lead Melvin.

- At the deflation points the convoy order set and the convoy stayed 5 minutes for a briefing.



- then we started drive passing by a few nice big dunes and we had the chance to pass by little play areas before the break time where we climbed few steep-ish dunes.


- 03.30pm we arrived at Badayer interchange for a quick chitchat before heading on the dirt track to tarmac. Rob, Shuhaib, Vishnu and Jey inflated and head back to Dubai/ sharjah. Bulldozer, Melvin, Ramesh, Bibin and Sinan continued driving and 5.00pm we arrived at december 2.



- The different sand dunes that we passed given opportunities to experience dune formations, the role of approach, departure, and break away angles in the cars which is very essential for new drivers to improve their technical skills.



- Convoy was very organized however we got many stucks and one tire pop out.


Special Thanks to Bulldozer for attending the drive and making sure we all drive safely.

Excellent drive - pushing some new boundaries for me and learnt a lot. Many thanks Melvin and Bulldozer for taking us round and keeping us in good order - looking forward to the next one!

No doubt it was a good time spent on sand, regardless of many stuck and recoveries I had.

But our Marshal, leads and other members were very generous on supports to keep me and the convoy moving.

Learned many new and live lessons and advises from Bulldozer.

Melvin was always available for any situation when required.

Thanks to Sinan, our sweeper for few observations on my drive and recommendations.
