We had a longer briefing for Ahmed who was on his first advance drive with the club and set of to tackle the dunes to the north of the gatch.

Initially some smaller crests were sought but as the confidence was increasing, we moved to bigger bowls with some switching action too. After reaching the Bowl with trees, we had a longer break and decided to move towards the Starfish dunes through the gatch to avoid the bull dozer tracks.

Enroute many nice dune formations presented themselves for long cresting, side sloping and generally having a good advance level drive.

The area is slowly getting over the effect of the bull dozers but there are surprises too which make driving here more technical. We did 84 km of driving including about 38 km of gatch driving and exited by 11.45.

One assisted recovery, some self recoveries and second tries.

Jithu was a solid second lead and helped change the track to avoid the ditches and bumps. Justahmedo showed his experience with other groups driving at this level and showed good control.
